What is it?
The Agriculture Summit Africa is a yearly event targeted at bringing all actors in the private and public sector in the agric sector across Africa together for deliberations, panel discussions and policy engagements that will drive growth in the agricultural industry and enable thought leadership in the Agric space.


When is the event?
The event is slated for the 23rd and 24th of September, 2020.


Where is the venue?
The event will be held online and streamed across major social media platforms. Interested participants can register on www.agricsummit.org


What is the time?
The time is 9 am daily.


What is the theme?
The theme for the 2020 summit is “Fast Forward Agriculture – Exploiting the Next Revolution ”

It is strongly recommended that attendees register to secure spaces as the event will hold online for registered attendees

No, all those who have interest in the African agriculture sector or are currently running agribusinesses can register to attend.


Is attendance to the summit free?
Yes.


What should I be expecting to see at the event?
This year’s summit will focus on 5 key areas
Increasing the involvement of key stakeholders across public and private sectors in developing policies to aid the growth of the agribusiness value chain Optimizing the sector in sub-Saharan economies to attract sizeable investments to drive expansion and achieve global competitiveness Increasing financing to key points of the value chain; particularly small holder farmers, to modernize their practices and increase output The role and impact of technology and data science in stimulating innovation in the value chain Understanding the changing regional climate cycles, their impact on productivity and adjusting practices to deliver growth despite changing climate systems.


Expected Outcomes
From the session, we are seeking to: Collaborate in identifying and delivering actionable steps to revolutionize Nigeria’s and sub-Saharan Africa’s agribusiness industries for sustained long-term growth. Facilitate sizeable investments to drive increased output across the agribusiness There will also be a project finance deal room hosted online, where companies/ government with viable projects, can pitch to prospective financiers for investment/funding.
