About the Summit

The Agriculture Summit Africa (ASA) is one of the continent’s leading, privately funded platforms dedicated to increasing the value of the agribusiness value chain by creating a convergence of private and public sector interests, development finance institutions, agribusiness investors and players.

Organized by Sterling Bank PLC, a leading commercial bank in Nigeria, the ASA achieves this aim mediating discourse aimed at discovering practical solutions to the region’s unique challenges; facilitating transactions between willing investors and potentially profitable agric-focused ventures and by highlighting opportunities available in the sector for the benefit of public and private interests, as well as the larger macro-economy at large.

Past to Present

The maiden edition was held in 2018 and was themed “Co-Creating a Sustainable Nigerian Economy Through Rural Agricultural Enterprise”.

In 2019, the conference focused on the immense economic potential of agribusiness across the continent and was aptly themed ‘Agriculture: Your Piece of the Trillion- Dollar Economy’, to resounding success and acknowledgement by attendees, exhibitors, panelists and speakers.

This year’s theme; “Fast-Forward Agriculture: Exploiting the Next Revolution” has been crafted to reflect the unique state of the region’s agribusiness economy in the light of financial, technological environmental, socio-economic and public health constraints, and focus on finding sustainable and scalable solutions to maximize the sector and nation’s output, while contributing to the achievement of the continent’s sustainable development goals (SDGs).
